Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our expanding practice! You will play a vital roll on our growing team, providing services to children, adolescents, and adults, under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist. Please note this is an Independent Contractor Position.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a wide array of professionals across diverse settings, and will bring creativity, patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm to therapy sessions. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Duties

Assist licensed occupational therapist in developing and executing individualized therapy programs tailored to each patient’s needs.
Support patients through therapeutic activities designed to enhance sensory processing, motor skills, coordination, and daily living abilities.
Monitor patient progress, document responses to therapy interventions, and report findings accurately to the supervising therapist.
Prepare treatment areas and gather necessary equipment to ensure smooth therapy sessions.
Educate clients and their families on therapeutic strategies to promote continued progress outside of sessions.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to clinic policies, professional expectations, and applicable privacy requirements.
Maintain detailed records of patient sessions and progress notes, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all clients during therapy sessions.
Provide services in the clinic and potentially home, school, community, or other settings as required.

Qualifications

OPTA Diploma, or equivalent experience
Current Vulnerable Sector Check
Personal Liability Insurance is required.
Experience working with individuals with ASD and ADHD preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt quickly to changing clinical needs.
Creative and comfortable adapting activities to meet different development, physical, and functional abilities.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
