General Description: A food production sanitation worker is generally responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in a food‑manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations. Other responsibilities could be included.

Schedule: Full Time, Panama Schedule

Responsibilities:

Dry mops, wet mop (wash/scrub) floors. The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with manual or power scrubbing equipment,
Transports garbage from garbage bins or compactor area.
Cleans areas/overheads requiring ladders, scaffolding or other extension equipment to reach including Mobile elevated platforms.
Maintains and conducts preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums.
Mechanical aptitude required
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
Cleaning and sanitizing food production environment
Wear employer-specified protective gear, including two pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc.
Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (with protective gear)
Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during extended periods of time.
Follow all Health and Safety guidelines established by spec for this position.
Additional duties as assigned.
Cleaning large areas on multiple levels.
Required to work in an environment that is hot, wet & humid.

Requirements:

High school diploma
Attention to detail.
Food industry experience and knowledge of cleaning in a food plant environment.
Strong communications skills, both written and oral, are required.
