JOB TITLE: Front Desk Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Front Office

REPORTS TO: Front Office Manager, Asst Front Office Manager and Supervisor

The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for the successful check in and check out of all guests in a welcoming, caring and timely manner, providing information on the room types and amenities in the room along with the services and facilities throughout the resort. This position plays a pivotal role in the guests overall positive experience during their stay

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

Performing all check in and check out tasks in a welcoming and timely manner.
Registering guests at check in, confirming and collecting necessary information such as phone and email contacts, dates of stay
Informing guests about payment methods, verifying credit card information
A thorough knowledge of all the different room types and confidently describe the room set up and amenities in the rooms.
Provide up to date information on all of the services and facilities throughout the resort and the surrounding community.
Upsell room types when the opportunity arises.
Liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room status of cleanliness and in working order.
Respond to guest concerns/complaints in a professional manner and resolve any issues in a timely manner and that is satisfactory to the guest.
Answering phones at the front desk in a timely manner.
Assisting in phone reservations when required
May perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort and organizational changes as directed by the Owner, VP of Operations & General Manager and the Front Office Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Work experience in a Customer Service role
Work experience in a Front Desk Attendant role an asset
Very strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and understand multiple software systems.
Strong knowledge in MS Word, Excel
Adaptable to a busy and fast paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational abilities

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed mainly indoors

Must be able to bend, reach, lift at least 20lbs
Must be able to stand on average of 7 hours per shift
Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and

holidays
