Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Company Truck Driver to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Food Grade goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, the ability to manage freight effectively and willingness to travel across Ontario, Quebec and on occasion to the US.
Duties
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight between locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
Requirements
- Valid AZ driver’s license (required)
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable AZ driving experience (required)
- FAST or TWIC Card (required)
- SHIFT: Wednesday to Monday ( including weekends)
- SCHEDULE: 5-7pm start, 12-14 hour days
- Overtime Eligible: After 60 hours
- 1-2 nights on the road, sleep in truck (on occasion)
- Experience hauling Food Grade (preferred)
- Clear CVOR and driver’s abstract
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to safely perform duties in a federally regulated transportation environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to Follow safety instructions, understand company policies and procedures, communicate clearly with dispatch, complete required documentation
- Capable of performing physically demanding work, including lifting to 50 lbs
- Able to work 50+ hours per week
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Comfortably working as part of a team and independently
