Accurate HD is looking to hire a Foreman for our Sewer & Water division to manage a crew as we continue to expand.

Summary:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Foreman is responsible for directing and managing all on-site construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment. You will enforce company direction, safety standards, policies, and procedures, while meeting performance deadlines.
Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day activities on-site including organizing, coordinating and delegating tasks to crew members, sub-contractors, and equipment in an efficient and effective manner
- Execute daily plan and sequence, manage job progress, and provide daily updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager
- Manage crew member performance, behaviour and actions
- Ensure work is being done to required specifications
- Ensure job site and work performed is in a safe manner, following all safety policies and procedures
- Operate heavy equipment and other construction tasks as necessary
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience running a pipe crew or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience installing pipe works
- Must have a valid driver’s license; Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
- Able to read locate maps and construction plans & specification
- Solid understanding of grades
- Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail
- Able to problem solve and follow instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to coach and train workers
- Team and safety oriented
- Willing to work out of town/province in remote locations, up to 22-day on with 6 days off shifts
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job and work in various physical positions (standing, sitting, reaching, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50lbs regularly, etc.)
- Work in various weather conditions (hot/humid weather, rain, snow, winter, etc.)
- Knowledge of power tools
- Provide: hard hat, high-visibility vest, steel-toed safety boots
