Waterloo Wellness Pharmacy is an independently owned community pharmacy operating under the Pharmasave banner. We focus on personalized, patient-centred healthcare and have built a strong reputation in the Waterloo community for friendly, professional and individualized care.
We are seeking a reliable and personable pharmacist interested in a flexible, casual part-time position within our close-knit team.
The role will initially include approximately one to two half-day shifts during the week, along with most Saturdays. Saturday shifts are only four hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We are very flexible with weekday scheduling and are open to discussing an arrangement that works well for both the pharmacist and our team.
An important part of the position will also be helping with additional coverage when one of our regular pharmacists is away on vacation, travelling, or otherwise unavailable. We are looking for someone who is willing to pick up additional shifts during these periods when their availability allows.
This position would be a great fit for someone looking for casual, flexible work with shorter regular shifts, while still becoming a consistent and trusted member of our pharmacy team. There may also be opportunities for additional hours over time depending on availability and mutual interest.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately assess, prepare and dispense prescriptions in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
- Provide medication counselling and respond to patient questions in a friendly and professional manner
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications and therapeutic concerns
- Perform pharmacist services within scope of practice, including injections, medication reviews and minor ailment assessments when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Kroll pharmacy software
- Support compliance packaging and medication management for community patients and retirement home residents
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy assistants, prescribers and other healthcare professionals
- Assist with general pharmacy operations and help maintain an organized, efficient and patient-focused environment
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Current professional liability insurance
- Community pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software strongly preferred
- Authorized to administer injections in Ontario
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working independently when required
- Able to work effectively within a close-knit team and committed to providing a high standard of personalized patient care
Compensation: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
Compensation will depend on experience, availability and the overall schedule arrangement.
Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
