Full job description

Office Manager – Automotive Dealership

We are looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our automotive dealership.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an accounting or business administration background who is looking to build a career in the automotive industry. Previous dealership experience is an asset, but is not required. We are willing to train the right person on dealership-specific processes, including posting vehicle deals.

The successful candidate will help manage the dealership's day-to-day accounting and administrative functions and work closely with dealership management and other departments.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process invoices and payments
Maintain accurate accounting records
Complete bank deposits and basic reconciliations
Post vehicle deals into the dealership management system
Review vehicle deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness
Assist with vehicle inventory and related accounting records
Maintain organized electronic and physical records
Assist with payroll and employee administration as required
Follow up on outstanding receivables
Assist with month-end accounting procedures
Work with Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts departments to resolve accounting and administrative issues
Provide general administrative support to dealership management
Maintain confidentiality of customer, employee, and dealership information

Qualifications

College diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable is an asset
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Automotive dealership experience is an asset, but not required

Who We're Looking For

You do not need years of automotive dealership experience to be successful in this position.

We are looking for someone with a good accounting foundation, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take ownership of their work. Someone coming from a community college accounting or business program with some practical accounting experience could be an excellent fit.

Training will be provided on dealership-specific processes and systems.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
