The Spa Supervisor at The Pearle Spa plays an integral role in providing guests with a world-class, luxurious spa experience. The individual in this position thrives on providing genuine and thoughtful service in a serene, relaxing, and calm environment and maintains a positive atmosphere. Our Spa Supervisor will be a member of a dynamic team who provides award-winning service and support to our guests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Consistently follows operating procedures.
- Supervising all Spa staff including reception, therapist, attendants, and other providers.
- Oversee and assist in day-to-day operations of The Spa.
- Processing monthly inventory for retail products.
- Bides by The Pearle Hotel and Pearle Hospitality’s policies and procedures and holds members of staff to the same standards.
- Works closely with service staff to coordinate schedules are accurate and sufficient to supply the demand of services.
- Daily communication to all Spa staff regarding daily/upcoming events through use of daily briefings, pass-on logs, memos, or any other means necessary.
- It is expected to cover other roles in the spa operation, should we need support.
- Investigates and resolves complaints to guest’s satisfaction, recording and communicating all issues to management for follow up.
- Reporting and communicating daily to the manager on the day-to-day operations of The Spa and staff.
- Communicate and be an example of Pearle Hospitality’s core values by demonstrating genuine and thoughtful hospitality in the day-to-day execution of duties.
- Act as a mentor to service staff: embody a great service culture and create a high level of service standards and excellence.
- Champion Pearle culture by ensuring high level of staff engagement and continual reinforcement of mission and core values.
- Exhibit a positive optimism, professional demeanor, and upbeat personality toward guests, suppliers, vendors, and members of the team
- Always act with integrity and honesty, take responsibility for decisions and actions
- Demonstrate a commitment to further develop skills and knowledge and initiates action to accomplish goals.
Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification
- WHMIS
Experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience as a Supervisor in a spa related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced and luxurious environment
- Experience working in a spa environment preferred
- Experience working in a hospitality, or customer service role
Skills
- Passionate about the Spa world.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm during challenging situations
- Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English, with strong verbal communication skills is essential.
- Knowledgeable of Spa operations related software.
- An ability to smoothly navigate between engaging employees and handling complex administrative tasks
- Willingly accept additional tasks as required for the effective functioning of the work unit.
