JOB DESCRIPTION
The Intermediate/Senior Systems Integrator is responsible for leading the design, development, integration, and implementation of complex industrial automation and control systems. This role provides technical expertise and leadership in the development of control strategies, system architecture, and automation solutions to support operational efficiency and reliability.
The Intermediate/Senior Systems Integrator works closely with engineering teams, project managers, operations personnel, and clients to deliver high-quality automation projects. This position also provides mentorship to junior integrators and technicians while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with company standards and safety requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
System Design & Integration
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation and control systems.
- Develop system architecture and control strategies for complex operational processes.
- Integrate PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation into fully functional automation solutions.
- Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with project and operational requirements.
Programming & Configuration
- Develop and maintain advanced PLC programming and control logic.
- Configure and optimize HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Oversee system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements.
Project Leadership
- Provide technical leadership on automation and controls projects.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination.
- Review technical specifications, project documentation, and system designs.
- Support project teams during system installation, testing, and commissioning.
System Commissioning & Support
- Lead system testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system issues.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
Technical Documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including system diagrams, programming documentation, and operating procedures.
- Ensure system documentation is updated following changes or upgrades.
- Assist with preparation of project reports and technical deliverables.
Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor and support junior systems integrators and technical staff.
- Provide technical training and guidance to team members.
- Assist with establishing best practices and standards for control system development.
Collaboration & Client Engagement
- Work closely with internal departments including engineering, operations, and project management.
- Participate in technical meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide expert input for proposals, system designs, and project planning.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all automation and control systems comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Follow safe work practices during fieldwork and system installation activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in control systems integration, industrial automation, or instrumentation.
- Proven experience leading automation or control systems projects.
- Experience in industrial environments such as oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, or utilities.

- Experience integrating instrumentation and process control systems
- Proficiency with engineering software tools and Microsoft Office Suite #HP
