Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
We are seeking a Senior SAP Data Analyst to support a large‑scale SAP implementation, with a primary focus on data migration activities. This role is responsible for analyzing and preparing data for migration, building and maintaining migration objects, executing mock cycles, and supporting data quality, validation, and defect management activities to ensure data readiness for go‑live.
The analyst will work closely with data, business, and technical teams to deliver accurate, complete, and high‑quality data into SAP S/4HANA.

Data Analysis & Migration Execution

Analyze source system data to assess completeness, accuracy, and readiness for migration
-
Support end‑to‑end data migration activities from SAP ECC and other source systems to SAP S/4HANA
-
Maintain and update data migration artefacts, including: Source‑to‑target mappings, Data validation and transformation rules, Data object and structure documentation (object info, attributes, dependencies)

Develop a strong understanding of business process data sets across ECC, S/4HANA, and integrated systems
Mock Cycles, Data Quality & Defect Management

Support and execute data migration mock cycles (Mock 1, Mock 2, etc.)
-
Analyze migration results and manage data defects and exceptions through to resolution
-
Produce, review, and validate: Data quality reports, Exception reports, Reconciliation and validation results

Support go/no‑go data readiness assessments for migration milestones
Data Cleansing & Stewardship Collaboration

Work closely with Data Stewards to review data cleansing outcomes
-
Support hands‑on data cleanup activities where required
-
Identify recurring data quality issues and contribute to root‑cause analysis and remediation planning
Technical Enablement & DOBS Support
-
Provide oversight and testing for data migration objects in SAP BODS
-
Assist Technical Data Analysts with ETL development, troubleshooting, and unit testing
-
Support data extraction, transformation, and load processes for migration and test cycles
Business & Functional Alignment
-
Collaborate with SAP functional teams to define data requirements
-
Review and validate business data object mappings to business processes
-
Ensure data requirements and mappings accurately support future‑state business processes
Reporting, Analytics & Dashboards

Develop dashboards and data analysis using Power BI
-
Provide reporting and insights to support: Migration progress tracking, Data quality trends, Defect resolution and readiness monitoring
Partner & Vendor Collaboration
-
Work closely with the System integrator to Review and validate data profiling results, and Verify migration loads and reconciliation outcomes

Support joint troubleshooting and alignment on data migration issues and resolutions
Qualifications & Skills Required
Required Qualifications
-
3–7 years of experience in data analysis or data migration roles, preferably within SAP or ERP transformation programs.

Experience supporting SAP data migration projects (ECC to S/4HANA preferred)
-
Handson experience with SAP BODS or equivalent ETL tools
-
Experience building reports / dashboards in MS Power BI
-
Strong understanding of: Data migration concepts (mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation), and Mock cycles and cutover readiness
-
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
-
Advanced Excel skills; experience producing data quality and exception reports
Technical Skills
-
SAP Data Migration – strong understanding of migration concepts (profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation)
-
SAP BODS – building, testing, and maintaining ETL data migration objects
-
Mock Cycle Execution – supporting full mock cycles including re‑runs and stabilization activities

Defect & Exception Management – analyzing migration defects, exception reports, and data quality issues
-
Source‑to‑Target Mapping – maintaining mappings, transformation logic, and validation rules

Data Quality & Reconciliation – producing and analyzing data quality and reconciliation reports

SAP Data Structures – familiarity with SAP ECC and S/4HANA data tables and master data objects

Advanced Excel / Data Analysis – working with large datasets, pivoting, filters, and reconciliation logic

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA or ECC to S/4HANA data migration projects

Hands‑on experience with SAP BODS for ETL and migration object development

Experience executing data migration mock cycles, including defect triage, re‑runs, and stabilization

Familiarity with source‑to‑target mapping, transformation rules, and data validation frameworks

Experience producing and analyzing data quality, exception, and reconciliation reports
-
Exposure to SAP master data objects (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance)
-
Experience working in large ERP transformation programs or regulated environments (energy, finance, utilities)
- Familiarity with migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit or MDG (asset).
