Bayshore Vegetable Shippers Ltd. currently has an opportunity for an experienced Accounting Analyst/Accountant to join their team.
General Overview:
The Accounting Analyst/Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily administrative operations while managing the company's accounts payable and receivable functions. This role ensures efficient office coordination, accurate financial processing, and timely billing and collections.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial & Administrative Support
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
- Manage, verify, schedule and issue payments (cheques, EFTs, wire transfers)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner Monitor incoming payments and apply them accurately
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and collections
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues
Office Management
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
- Support HR functions such as onboarding and record-keeping
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in office management and accounting functions with a CA designation or working towards, is a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Proficiency in accounting software, Famous experience preferred, not required
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
