THE GIG
The ERP/EDI Operations Specialist keeps our existing EDI and ERP systems running and continuously improves processes. Reporting to the CIO and working closely with IT, Finance, Purchasing, and the other functional teams, the successful candidate is a hands-on technical leader who turns complex problems into clear plans and sees them through to production. You are a subject matter expert with the ability to guide others, with the future potential to create and lead a team.
What You Will Do
- Review, maintain, and improve the existing EDI environment, keeping it running reliably.
- Own and improve operations across the Sage 300 ERP environment.
- Lead new projects and integrations end to end, through testing, validation, and rollout.
- Drive cross-functional work such as the label-printing revamp: test, validate, document in Jira, and roll out across stores.
- Work with the payment systems and point-of-sale vendor to keep transactions running reliably.
- Act as the lead for inventory processes such as adjustments and counts, defining efficient ways of working with IT, other teams, and consultants, and enabling store teams to execute on them.
- Modify current processes and create new ones to maximize efficiency.
- Coach team members.
What You Bring
Required
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on, operational Sage 300 experience, including the Purchasing and Sales modules. You must be able to speak in detail about how these modules behave in practice, the day-to-day workflows you have supported, the configuration choices you have made, and the issues you have resolved. Familiarity with the underlying tables is useful, but functional understanding of how Sage 300 actually operates is the requirement. A resume that lists Sage 300 only as a skill, without supporting detail, will not be considered.
- Real, hands-on EDI experience, with the ability to review, troubleshoot, and improve existing transactions.
In addition:
- A quick learner who can get up to speed on existing systems and keep them running.
- A track record of leading systems projects through to production.
- Experience managing and mentoring others.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
Nice to Have
- SQL and other scripting languages.
- Experience with Jira, payment systems, or point-of-sale integrations.
- Fluency in French.
