Job Description
North Star Windows & Doors (St. Thomas, Ontario) is hiring a motivated team player with a strong safety focus and willingness to learn to join our Production Team.
As part of the team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to meet quality standards and specifications

Review work orders, prepare materials, and safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and automated equipment

Assemble components including frames, glass units, hardware, seals, and screens
-
Operate production equipment such as saws, pneumatic tools, and welding machinery
-
Inspect finished products and report defects or quality concerns
-
Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, packing, and loading
-
Participate in 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
-
Support quality standards and help ensure products meet customer requirements
-
Work respectfully and collaboratively as part of a team
-
Support the team in achieving production and performance targets
-
Follow direction of leadership and continuously verify quality through measurement.

Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
-
Previous experience with general labour/construction/manufacturing is preferred.
-
Willing to train, but must have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and reliable
-
Standing for up to 9 hours, lifting/maneuvering of products required (medium to heavy lifting, 30-50lbs)

Handling of materials (manual dexterity required)

Experience using power tools and hand-tools
-
Ability to read a tape measure with accuracy and precision
-
Safety-conscious and detail oriented.

Must be eligible to work in Canada and 18-yrs of age or older
-
Must be available to work two week shift rotation schedule (day shift- 6AM- 3:30PM; afternoon shift- 3:45PM-1:15 AM)

Must be available to work Overtime

Must be able to work Saturday shifts when required (dependent on incoming orders and business demands)#chp
