Job Summary
Banff Social is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Runners to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the kitchen and guests, ensuring timely delivery of food and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and service standards. Duties
- Deliver hot and cold food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, maintaining presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing.
- Support the serving staff by refilling drinks and attending to guest needs during their meal.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing tables and sanitizing service stations.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and billing.
- Ensure proper handling of food according to safety standards, including proper storage and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Assist with general restaurant cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving, cashiering, and basic cooking techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service are essential.
