Are you a skilled and ambitious Hair Stylist or Barber who loves helping people feel confident and refreshed? We’re looking for someone reliable and passionate to take over our hairstylist/barber station and join our growing team at Mountain Oasis Spa & Tanning in the heart of downtown Canmore.
Please note this position is located in Canmore and priority will go to those who are located in Canmore or are willing to travel (temporary compensation for travel may be provided after further discussion).
About the Role:
As a Hair Stylist or Barber at our spa, you’ll provide expert hair services in a fun, professional, and welcoming environment. Whether it’s a fresh cut, colour transformation, or simple style — your creativity and attention to detail will help our clients look and feel their best. Help us create your own personalised services menu of what you'd like to offer and take advantage of a busy location while growing your clientele and reputation around town. We offer a 50/50 split with minimum wage during non-client hours, we buy what you need and advertise your work. Alternatively, we are open to a chair rental as well.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver high-quality hair services, including cuts, colours, and treatments tailored to client preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized work area in line with Alberta health standards
- Build meaningful relationships with clients and offer personalized hair care advice
- Recommend and promote professional retail products that enhance your clients’ results
- Encourage client retention by delivering memorable, top-tier experiences every time
What We’re Looking For:
- A licensed hair stylist or barber with experience in cuts, colours, and treatments
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating great experiences
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a proactive work ethic
- Attention to detail and knowledge of best practices in sanitation and safety
- Confidence in recommending products to support client needs
