This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, creating engaging content, capturing what is happening across our companies, and helping keep a busy office running smoothly.
About the Role
The Reception & Social Media Coordinator is the welcoming face and voice of COG. As the first point of contact for our companies, you’ll help create a positive and professional experience for visitors, clients, tenants, contractors and community members. You’ll also play an important role in telling the COG story by creating and coordinating social media content that showcases our people, projects, developments and involvement in the communities we serve.
Alongside reception and social media responsibilities, you’ll provide general office and administrative support to help keep day-to-day operations organized. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, being creative and contributing wherever needed.
Responsibilities
Reception & Office Coordination
· Welcome visitors and create a positive, professional first impression
· Answer and direct incoming phone calls
· Monitor and respond to general company email inquiries
· Receive deliveries and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail
· Help ensure visitors, clients, tenants and contractors are directed to the right person or information
· Maintain reception, meeting rooms and common office areas
· Order office supplies and help keep the office organized and welcoming
· Assist with coordinating meetings, visitors and day-to-day office activities
Social Media & Marketing
· Plan, create, schedule and publish social media content across company platforms
· Capture photos and videos from developments, construction projects, properties, company activities and community events
· Identify opportunities to share interesting stories about our people, projects and communities
· Create graphics and social media materials using Canva and established brand templates
· Maintain consistent and professional social media posting schedules
· Monitor social media comments, messages and engagement
· Assist with newsletters, website updates and other marketing initiatives
· Help maintain organized libraries of company photos, videos and marketing materials
· Work with team members across our companies to gather updates, photos and information for content
· Help ensure COG’s online presence reflects the quality, professionalism and personality of our companies
General Office & Administrative Support
· Scan, file and organize digital and paper documents
· Maintain organized filing systems and company records
· Assist with data entry and general office administration
· Help prepare documents, reports and presentation materials when required
· Support document organization for construction, development and property management projects
· Assist with meeting preparation and other administrative tasks as needed
· Provide occasional support to managers and team members with day-to-day office needs
· Assist with special projects as required

Qualifications
· Previous experience in reception, customer service, social media, marketing, office coordination or a similar role
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities
· Comfortable using social media platforms in a professional setting
· Experience creating social media content, including photos, short-form video and graphics
· Experience with Canva or similar design tools
· Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
· Comfortable learning new software and online tools
· Photography, video editing or content creation experience is considered an asset
· A valid driver’s licence is considered an asset

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
