Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm. This vital role combines administrative leadership with expert bookkeeping skills, ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions while maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and enthusiastic about supporting a professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service. In this role, you will manage office operations, oversee bookkeeping processes, and utilize accounting software to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and administrative support to the CPA team
Manage bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and account analysis using accounting software like QuickBooks and Sage
Maintain accurate financial records through diligent data entry and account reconciliation procedures
Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and summaries to support client consultations and internal decision-making
Assist with year-end closing activities, tax preparations, and audit support as needed

Experience

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within a professional office environment
Proficiency in popular accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage is must
Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
Experience managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting standards
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
Exceptional attention to detail combined with clear communication skills
