Full job description

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and organized Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a busy office environment.

Duties

Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions using Sage 50
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records
Process accounts payable
Prepare and process invoices
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and filing systems
Assist with payroll and related administrative tasks as required
Perform data entry accurately using Sage 50 and Microsoft Office applications
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other documents
Handle incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and provide professional customer service
Manage electronic and paper filing systems and maintain organized documentation
Provide general administrative support, including copying, scanning, mailing, and other office duties as required
Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is required
Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently while also being a team player
Ability to multitask and manage a variety of accounting and administrative responsibilities
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
