Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom store fixtures, is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Store Fixture Manufacturing Technician to join their growing team located in Collingwood, ON. This full-time, temporary position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a straight day shift position, Monday to Friday, with no weekends required and opportunity for overtime. Wage starts at $21.00 per hour.

About the Role
The Store Fixture Manufacturing Technician is responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing custom store fixture components to meet quality and production standards. This role combines woodworking, assembly, and finishing responsibilities, requiring the ability to read technical drawings; safely operate woodworking equipment and power tools; install hardware; and perform final quality inspections before products are shipped.
The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, works well within a team environment, and is comfortable performing a variety of manufacturing and general labour tasks as production needs require. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Building Custom Store Fixture Components Using Woodworking Tools, Machinery, & Shop Equipment
- Reading & Interpreting Build Drawings, Blueprints, Measurements, & Layout Specifications
- Cutting, Shaping, Assembling, Fitting, & Fastening Wood & Fixture Components Using Appropriate Materials & Techniques
- Completing Final Assembly by Installing Hardware, Hinges, Brackets, Accessories, & Other Finishing Components
- Performing Finishing Touches to Ensure Products Meet Quality, Appearance, & Customer Specifications
- Operating Hand Tools, Power Tools, Woodworking Equipment, & Measuring Devices
- Working Collaboratively with Production, Assembly, & Shipping Teams to Maintain Efficient Workflow
- Maintaining Clean, Organized, & Safe Work Environment While Following All Safety Procedures
- Other General Labour Duties as Assigned
Requirements
- Previous Carpentry, Woodworking, Assembly, Manufacturing, or Related Experience Required
- Experience Operating Hand Tools, Power Tools, & Woodworking Equipment
- Ability to Read Drawings, Blueprints, & Accurately Use Measuring Tools
- Strong Attention to Detail with High-Quality Workmanship
- Ability To Lift Up To 50 Lbs & Perform Repetitive Physical Tasks Including Standing, Bending, Kneeling, Crouching, & Lifting
- Reliable, Punctual, & Able to Work Effectively in Fast-Paced Production Environment
- Ability to Work Independently & As Part of Team
- Steel Toe Boots Required (Annual Boot & Prescription Safety Glasses Allowance Available After Probation)
