Full job description

The keys to success in this position are: Customer focus, teamwork, effective communication, thorough follow-up, relationship building, applying customs knowledge and being extremely well organized.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor import and export shipments, follow-up, tracking and tracing, problem identification and timely resolution;
Interact with customers on phone; provide shipment status, customs regulations and procedures; handle customer complaints and concerns.
Build close, strong relationships with all our customers, overseas agents and service providers;
Complete processing of all documentation required including invoicing and import declaration if required;
Assist in reviewing network and routings in the Business District and suggest potential improvement on transit time and cost effectiveness
Assist in streamlining processes and identify improvement areas
Conduct research and analysis of routes using historical data, reports and reviews
Day to day operations to include dealing with customers/customs clearance/ airlines & other reports and administration duties.
Ensure all quality control procedures are updated and adhered to.
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience in ocean freight forwarding and logistics industry
Minimum relevant bachelor’s degree or college diploma
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
Detail-oriented, strong communication skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
