Part-Time 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Automotive Technician

Are you looking to earn extra income during evenings or weekends?

Are you currently attending school and looking for a flexible part-time opportunity?

Toronto Auto Group is seeking a motivated 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team on a part-time basis.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to conduct preliminary safety inspections on newly acquired stock vehicles. The purpose of these inspections is to identify and estimate the repairs that may be required to bring each vehicle up to safety standards once it is sold.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled and experienced licensed technicians.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct preliminary safety inspections on newly acquired stock vehicles.
Identify mechanical, electrical and safety-related concerns.
Prepare an accurate list and estimate of repairs that may be required when the vehicle is sold and needs to be certified.
Clearly document all inspection findings and recommended repairs.
Report urgent or significant mechanical concerns to management.
Work under the supervision and direction of licensed automotive technicians.
Ensure inspections are completed accurately and efficiently.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and dealership policies.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Manage multiple inspections and meet established deadlines.
Assist licensed technicians with maintenance and repairs when required.

Required Qualifications

Must be a registered 3rd or 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of vehicle components and Ontario safety requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
Ability to identify required repairs and provide accurate estimates.
Self-motivated, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
