Join the dynamic mechanic team at MPS Property Services! We currently have an opening for a 310S mechanic, $35-45/hour at a guaranteed 45+hr/week. Reporting to our fleet manager, this position is year-round, health benefits and company phone after 3 months. This is an hourly position, not piecework. This position will require some on-call nights and weekend shifts during the winter months (with snow shift premium). At MPS we provide more than just a job!

We’re looking for a reliable team player, who demonstrates integrity through their work and brings a positive attitude to our mechanic team. In this position you would be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical deficiencies on medium duty trucks and heavy equipment. Other major responsibilities include:
- Service, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles; Ford F550 and Chevrolet Savana 3500
- Diagnose electrical deficiencies in vehicles
- Post season service and preparation for off-season storage
- Pre-season check over, start-up and servicing of all applicable equipment
- Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and equipment consumables to minimize equipment downtime
- Knowledge of commonly used landscape/snow removal equipment is preferred.
- Maintain positive relationships with all appropriate vendors
- On-site repairs will be required.
- Assist other MPS mechanics as appropriate
- Maintain a neat, organized workspace
- Effect on-site repairs or swap out equipment as required. The goal being to minimize downtime of production crews
- Occasional welding required
- Any additional MPS related tasks as they may arise
- Must bring own tools and safety boots.
- Some computer use and paperwork is required.
- Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Wage can range between $35.00-$45.00/hour based on previous experience and skills. The ideal candidate will have the following work experience and skills:
- 310S License & Driver’s G License
- Extensive 310S hands-on experience
- Hydraulics experience
- Welding ability
- Must have own tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong math and English skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to work with existing MPS mechanic team
- Positive attitude, and a desire to accomplish tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Previous snow industry experience is an asset
