Summer Camp Visual Arts Teacher – Aurora

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Visual Arts Teacher to join our summer camp team.

If you love working with children and have a strong background in visual arts, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Public School in Aurora
Position: Visual Arts Teacher (Full-time or Part-time)
Commitment: 6-7 weeks (July – August)
Hours: Flexible, approx. 20–35 hours/week
Hourly Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities:

Lead daily visual arts activities including drawing, acrylic painting, sketching, anime/manga art, and mixed media crafts
Help students complete weekly portfolios and prepare for Friday gallery shows
Create a supportive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
Collaborate with other camp teachers (drama, STEM) for cross-disciplinary projects (e.g., set and prop making)
Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers

Requirements:

Strong background in visual arts (fine arts degree or equivalent experience preferred)
Experience teaching art to children aged 5–14
Patient, responsible, and passionate about working with young learners
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to start by early July 6
