Job Summary
Prenco is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Production Associate to support assembly, testing, and packaging operations at our Pickering, Ontario facility. This is a full‑time position offering 40 hours of paid work for a 36‑hour work week, with the plant closed on Fridays.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Supervisor and follow established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures to meet daily production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and package automotive wire sets and related components based on production requirements
- Terminate wire leads and assemble components such as boots and tubes
- Perform in‑process and final product testing at various stages of assembly
- Record crimp measurements and quality data as required
- Sort sub‑assemblies into completed assemblies
- Package finished products according to customer and company specifications (boxing, labeling)
- Stage finished goods for shipment
- Maintain quality standards — no damaged raw materials accepted and no damaged product shipped
- Report quality, process, equipment, or material issues to the Production Supervisor
- Operate in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Complete required daily production and quality logs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Shut down and lock out equipment when not in use
- Perform other production‑related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions in English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
- Manual dexterity and comfort performing repetitive tasks
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or pneumatic tools is considered an asset
- Ability to meet daily production targets
