We’re seeking an enthusiastic and skilled bartender to join our team at Canada's first and only Shake Shack Bar here at Union Station! As a bartender, you’ll be responsible for crafting exceptional beverages, providing friendly and efficient service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Shake Shack is a modern-day 'roadside' burger stand serving deliciously classic burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine, & more. With our fresh, simple, high-quality food at a great value, Shake Shack is a fun and lively community-gathering place with widespread appeal. Our unique and inspiring culture invites and nurtures motivated people who aspire to be our future leaders. Beginning as a hot dog cart in New York City, Shake Shack has expanded to 500 locations globally and is still growing!

What You'll Do:

Prepare and serve beverages according to recipe specifications and guest preferences.
Interact with guests in a friendly and attentive manner, providing recommendations and taking orders promptly and accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Engage in upselling and suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales and enhance the guest experience.
Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and deliver exceptional service to guests.
Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and laws, including checking identification and monitoring guest intoxication levels.

What You'll Need:

Previous experience as a bartender.
Knowledge of cocktail recipes, drink mixing techniques, and beverage service standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (Smart Serve) is required.
Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
