We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper or an Assistant office administrator to join our small team based in Scarborough at a small family business for a full-time position. The Ideal candidate will be well-organized and comfortable dealing with detailed financial data. This individual will be responsible for processing payroll, accounts payable, & accounts receivable, as well as other tasks related to bookkeeping/ accounting/ administration or have the opportunity to gain exposure and experience to the field to advance their career and grow on your transferable skills. They should also be excellent at recording data and reviewing documents while keeping files neat and routinely organized. Also, a Flexible work schedule is available with different pay structures.
Responsibilities & Opportunities to learn:
Tracking Expenses, completing sales tax & payroll tax, receipts, processing payroll (Quickbooks Online)
Accounts receivable: processing invoices, processing payments for COD customers, following up with collection. Keep Updated.
Accounts payable: processing statements from suppliers, keeping track of bills and ensuring accurate monthly statements of bills, paying statements to key suppliers on time. Keep updated.
Receiving, creating and answering emails, & monitoring email inbox.
General Office organization and office managment when working independently.
Overview:
Departmentalizing income/expeneses, reconciling bank statements & credit card statements monthly.
General bookkeeping entries, facilitate daily banking activites such as setting up payments, preparing cheques and related schedules for all bank accounts.
Assiting or completing with payroll transactions and adminstration.
Answering phones, taking messages when necessary and greeting customers in the office enviroment.
Qualifications:
Preferably 2-5 Years related experience in bookkeping/Adminstrative/Accounting role or Assiting in these.
Proficient in Quickbooks online
General Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Good attitude and high level of personal intiative.
Able to work independently and in a team enviroment.
Good Experience in AP/AR with getting results.
Strong skillset in organization and office administration
Pay/Schedule:
typically $25 -$35 an hour, +/- based on experience and skillset
Part time & Full Time available, typically 7 hour day, Monday to Friday.
