About the Role
Our client is seeking reliable and experienced commercial box truck drivers (AZ, BZ, CZ, or DZ licensed) to join our dedicated delivery team. This role involves operating a 26-foot box truck to deliver palletized goods across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the surrounding regions. If you're a safety-first professional with strong local knowledge and at least 3 years of commercial driving experience, we want to hear from you.
Schedule Options
● Option 1: Sunday to Tuesday (12-hour shifts)
● Option 2: Thursday to Saturday (12-hour shifts)
Both schedules include an optional 4th day shift (6–8 hours) on Wednesday
Key Responsibilities
● Safely operate a 26’ box truck while adhering to all road and safety regulations
● Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
● Perform timely middle-mile deliveries from warehouse to retail locations
● Use a manual pallet jack and assist with hand-bombing/unloading freight
● Communicate with dispatch via SLACK regarding ETAs and delivery updates
● Maintain the integrity of goods throughout transport
● Utilize ELDs and handheld applications for tracking and compliance
● Represent our client in a professional manner while supporting customer needs
Driver Requirements
● Valid Ontario commercial driver’s license (A, B, C, or D) with Z air brake endorsement
● Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience with palletized freight and tailgate delivery
● Must be 25 years of age or older
● Strong familiarity with the GTA roadways and Downtown Toronto
● Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR for the past 3 years
● Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends
● Experience with similar vehicle operations (e.g., school bus, garbage truck, industrial equipment) is an asset
