We are looking for an experienced, high-impact Digital Marketing Account Manager to lead client strategy, own client retention, and drive organic account expansion. Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Client Leadership & Retention
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor and lead point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of high-value agency clients.
- Lead regular strategy calls, monthly reviews, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), presenting insights, performance ROI, and future roadmaps.
- Proactively monitor client health metrics, anticipate roadblocks, and implement proactive retention strategies before issues arise.
2. Account Growth & Upselling
- Identify untapped growth opportunities within existing accounts (e.g., channel expansion, budget scaling, new creative services).
- Partner with technical/service leads to craft compelling proposals, pitch new initiatives, and hit quarterly account expansion/upsell targets.
3. High-Stakes Communication & Problem Resolution
- Confidently lead complex client conversations, manage scope creep, and handle difficult scenarios with poise, tact, and solutions-oriented thinking.
- Bridge the gap between the client’s business goals and our internal fulfillment teams (creative, media buyers, SEO specialists, developers).
4. Workflow & Operations Oversight
- Ensure deliverable quality, timelines, and budgets align with client expectations and agency standards.
- Translate client feedback into actionable project tasks for internal teams using project management software (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3–6+ years of account management, client success, or digital strategist experience specifically within a digital marketing agency.
- Marketing Literacy: Solid, working understanding of core digital channels (Paid Social, Google Ads, SEO, Content Marketing, CRO, and Web Development) to speak confidently on strategy and performance.
- Proven Commercial Success: Demonstrated track record of high client retention rates and identifying organic upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Master Communicator: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills—especially under pressure or during difficult client situations.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable analyzing campaign reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, ad platforms) to derive actionable strategic takeaways.
