Job Title: Meat Market Manager

Job Duties:

Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the meat market and deli.
Manage staff, assign duties and monitor employee performance.
Recruit, train and supervise employees.
Establish work schedules and oversee day-to-day store operations.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to procure meats, deli products and other merchandise for resale.
Control inventory levels, monitor stock movement and minimize product wastage.
Plan budgets, monitor revenues and authorize expenditures.
Evaluate customer service standards and resolve customer complaints.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required.
At least 3 years of experience in retail, food retail, butcher shop, deli, grocery or restaurant operations, including experience in a supervisory or management role, is required.
Experience in a meat market, butcher shop, deli, grocery store or specialty food retail environment is considered a strong asset.
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)

Language of Work: English

Wage: $44.00 per hour
