About Us:
Trio Pastry Café is a chic new bakery café bringing timeless French pastry craftsmanship to Main Street Unionville. We’re committed to high-quality, elegant bakes with a creative and seasonal edge — all served in a beautifully designed, modern space.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Manager/Supervisor. You’ll assist in running the daily business—overseeing production, service, staff, and profitability. This is a handson leadership role perfect for a culinary professional ready to shape a brand from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, mentor, and manage cafe staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to standards.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
Implement and enforce food safety protocols and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations.
Collaborate with back-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and communication between the kitchen and eating area.
Manage cash handling procedures related to cafe operations, including POS system oversight.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Always maintaining a high level of professionalism, including dressing appropriately, being punctual, and behaving in a respectful manner.

Experience

2-3 years of proven experience in a bakery/cafe environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for culinary excellence and commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
CPR and first aid certification preferred
