The "Why" [Read First]:
We are a diagnostic centre owned and operated by Sonographers. We know what it takes to get a clean NT at 12+4 on a retroverted uterus with an anterior fibroid. We know what a 34-week anatomy re-do on a BMI of 40 costs you physically. We know it because we are still in the room doing it.
We built this facility to be the place we always wanted to work:
- The Tech: You will be scanning on brand new 2025 Hospital-Grade Samsung V8 machines. No lag, crystal clear resolution, & advanced ergonomics. Paired with comfortable, ergonomic chairs & adjustable beds.

- The Reports: You flag what you see. Our radiologists read what you send. Nobody rushes you into signing off on images you are not proud of.
The Role: Roughly 70/30
This is a dedicated obstetrical position, not a general list with some OB sprinkled in.
- 70%-90% Obstetrics. All trimesters. Dating, NT, full anatomy, growth and wellbeing, BPP, cervical length, Dopplers, follow-up of the complicated ones. Twins. Anomalies. The cases other clinics quietly refer out—we would rather you scanned them here.
- 10%-30% General. Abdomen, pelvis (TA/TV), renal, thyroid, small parts, and MSK. Enough variety to keep the rest of your skill set sharp without eroding your OB focus.

1. The "Ideal" Senior Candidate:
- Clinical Mastery: You are independently confident across all three trimesters and you do not flinch at the difficult ones; high BMI, unfavourable lie, early gestation, suspected anomaly, prior loss, etc.
- Ownership: You take pride in your images. You do not cut corners. You treat the licence as a badge of honour, and every patient gets your best study. Every time.
- Judgement: You know what needs to be flagged now versus what can wait for the report, and you communicate it cleanly.
2. The "High-Potential" New Sonographer/Graduate:
- You want OB. You have the fundamentals and you want to build a genuine obstetrical specialty rather than being spread thin across a general list forever.
- Looking for a home. You want a long-term clinical home in Durham Region, not a stepping stone.
- Real mentorship. Because we are sonographers, we can offer hands-on OB mentorship that corporate clinics structurally cannot. We will invest in you if you invest in us.

- Execute High-Quality Scans: Perform diagnostic exams with clinical precision.
- Analyze & Flag: Identify potential pathologies and collaborate with our radiologists for accurate, timely reporting.
- Equipment Stewardship: Maintain the Samsung V8s and probes with care, including strict sanitization and transducer protection.
- Patient Experience: Explain procedures with warmth and professionalism. You are the face of your team's integrity.
Requirements
- Certification: Active CMRITO Registration & Sonography Canada Credentials.
- Demonstrated OB competency across all trimesters. If your obstetrical volume has been light and you are eager to build it, tell us and we'll train.
- MSK is asset. If you are not there yet, say so and tell us whether you want to learn.
- Skills (Required): Reliability. Professionalism. Integrity. Honesty. Enthusiasm. Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, and physics.
- Soft Skills: A genuine desire to learn and a real "can-do" attitude.
