Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic IT security team. This role is critical in protecting our organization’s information assets, ensuring network integrity, and maintaining compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27002. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security analysis, network security, and incident response, with experience working within agile environments and cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cybersecurity challenges, implement security best practices, and contribute to the development of secure systems across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, Solaris, CentOS, macOS, Android, and iOS.

Duties

Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools such as Splunk to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
Conduct vulnerability research and perform system security assessments across various platforms including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and network monitoring tools to safeguard network infrastructure.
Develop and enforce security policies aligned with standards like ISO 27001/27002 and COBIT frameworks.
Manage identity & access management solutions including Active Directory, LDAP, Cisco ISE, PKI, and authentication protocols like RADIUS and Kerberos.
Respond to cybersecurity incidents through effective incident response procedures; perform forensic analysis when necessary.
Maintain and optimize network architecture including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, load balancing (F5), high availability configurations, disaster recovery plans, and network infrastructure design.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
Support system administration tasks across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments, Linux distributions (CentOS, UNIX), Solaris, macOS, Android, and iOS devices.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments utilizing tools like Fiddler for web application testing or NFS/FTP/SFTP protocols for secure file transfer.
Maintain documentation of security incidents and compliance audits; participate in SDLC processes ensuring secure software development lifecycle practices.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA or GIAC are preferred.
Proven experience working with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002 or COBIT.
Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP stack, DNS/ DHCP management, Ethernet switching/routing (Juniper/Cisco), MPLS networks, WAN/LAN architectures.
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk or ArcSight; familiarity with cloud security tools on AWS (CloudTrail), Azure Security Center or Google Cloud Security Command Center.
Strong understanding of encryption standards (PKI), network protocols (SSL/TLS), VPN technologies (IPsec), load balancing solutions (F5), virtualization technologies (VMware) and container orchestration platforms supporting DevOps practices.
Skilled in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting for automation; experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform is advantageous.
Knowledge of computer forensics techniques and digital evidence handling procedures is a plus. Pay: $48.50-$60.50 per hour
