Ready to make your mark on a landmark transit project Ledcor is hiring an experienced Scheduler to join our Infrastructure for a major GO Transit project. This site-based opportunity in Markham offers the chance to grow your career while contributing to infrastructure that will serve Ontarians for generations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate detailed project schedules from project startup through closeout
- Track schedule progress, analyze production data, monitor critical path activities, and communicate schedule impacts to project stakeholders
- Monitor and manage changes to baseline schedules and provide timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the development, management, and auditing of Field Installation Work Packages (FIWPs) to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution
- Analyze project milestones, key deliverables, and financial deadlines while evaluating impacts to project schedules and performance
- Collaborate with project, construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to ensure alignment on project objectives, sequencing, and execution strategies
- Support implementation and maintenance of project systems and procedures during project startup and closeout activities, including turnover documentation, warranty packages, and site demobilization
- Coordinate with safety and project teams in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead quantity takeoffs and verify alignment with contract documents and project scope requirements
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members performing document control and recordkeeping functions
- Prepare schedule updates, progress reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for project leadership and clients
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying risks, opportunities, and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Scheduler, Planner, or Project Controls role within the construction industry
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, transit, civil, industrial, or commercial construction projects valued at $15 million or greater
- Previous experience supporting Metrolinx transit infrastructure projects is highly regarded and strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Metrolinx standards, scheduling requirements, reporting processes, and stakeholder coordination practices is considered a significant asset
- Previous experience developing and managing work packages and leading planning initiatives on construction projects
- Strong knowledge of scheduling principles, project controls methodologies, and critical path analysis
- Experience utilizing 3D visual planning tools and construction technology platforms
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate project schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, and current construction practices
- Strong understanding of construction administration processes, including subcontract management, change orders, RFIs, lien holdbacks, and project closeout
- Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
- Must have a valid provincial driver’s license

Compensation
$79,200.00 - $105,600.00
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
