Design What Comes Next
Lead the delivery of critical municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure that helps communities thrive. As a Principal Conveyance Engineer , you'll provide technical leadership on complex conveyance projects across Ontario and Canada, guiding multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery while helping shape resilient and sustainable infrastructure solutions. This is an opportunity to influence major projects, mentor future leaders, strengthen client relationships, and drive engineering excellence across a diverse portfolio of conveyance initiatives.
Your Impact
- Lead the technical planning, design, and delivery of complex municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance projects.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams delivering large-scale infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee the development and review of engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Establish and champion quality assurance and quality control practices, ensuring technical excellence across all project deliverables.
- Mentor and develop engineers, designers, and technologists by sharing technical expertise and fostering professional growth.
- Solve complex engineering challenges through innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions that deliver value to clients and communities.
- Support project pursuits, proposal development, and business development activities while strengthening relationships with clients, agencies, contractors, and industry partners.
- Contribute expert guidance throughout the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, detailed design, procurement, and construction support.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and registration with Professional Engineers Ontario.
- 12–15 years of experience delivering municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Deep expertise in the planning, design, and delivery of watermains, trunk sewers, forcemains, pump stations, outfalls, pipelines, and related conveyance infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead on complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Strong background preparing and reviewing technical reports, contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Experience leading QA/QC reviews and providing technical oversight and mentorship to project teams.
- Knowledge of trenchless technologies, environmental approval processes, hydraulic modelling concepts, and industry-standard engineering software.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $147,500 – $195,400
MB & ON: $136,400 – $184,600
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $133,200 – $176,900
