Toronto Dermatology Centre is recruiting for a full time Dermatology Nurse, RN to join our growing team.

We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who has a passion for medical dermatology. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task in their duties.

Our preferred candidate would be someone who has experience working in a dermatology clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Procedures: under supervision of dermatologists/delegated acts - treatment of warts, mollusca, alopecia areata & other skin conditions determined by the dermatologists; suture removals; sclerotherapy, botox for hyperhidrosis, etc.
Assistance with surgical & cosmetic procedures
Patient communication: answering clinical questions in clinic, by phone & email, following up on results, etc. Perform patient call-backs on daily basis
Educate patients on post-procedure care as necessary
Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
Documentation using our EMR
Maintain clean, safe and well stocked exam room
Sterilize surgical instrument
Follow up phone calls with patients regarding care
Contact patients with their lab results

The Requirements:

Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
2-3 years nursing experience
Current CPR/BCLS certification
Nursing experience in a dermatology office environment is an asset, but not needed (training will be provided)
Superior interpersonal skills with staff and patients
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Flexibility and multi-tasking are an asset
Perform procedures such as cryotherapy, skin biopsies, skin tag/lesion removal, electrocautery and specimen collection (training will be provided)

We offer competitive rates and industry incentives.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
