MUMBA Basketball is a player first development program dedicated to building complete athletes and exceptional young people. Through our structured pathway including grassroots development, skills training, competitive Rep teams and Academy Prep teams.
We provide athletes with opportunities to learn, compete, and grow at every stage of their basketball journey.

We focus on developing character, confidence, leadership, discipline, and a strong work ethic, helping athletes become well rounded individuals prepared for success in sport and in life. From beginners discovering the game to competitive players striving for the next level, MUMBA creates an environment where every athlete can thrive. Once we bring our players up from MUMBA Elite to MUMBA Academy, we are dedicated to empowering elite student-athletes to compete at the highest levels, both nationally and internationally. Our mission is to prepare athletes for college/university scholarships and potential professional basketball opportunities, while helping them grow as leaders on and off the court.
Our goal is to continue to help players earn college/university scholarships (NCAA, U SPORTS) and pursue professional basketball opportunities while developing leadership, discipline, and character.

Position Summary:
We’re seeking experienced Basketball Coaches with a passion for elite player development and youth mentorship. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing program that emphasizes excellence, accountability, and long-term success both on and off the court.
The ideal candidate brings a strong basketball background, proven coaching results, and a desire to mentor young athletes toward collegiate and professional success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead 3-4 structured practices per week focused on player skill, mindset, and performance.
- Coach game play and tournaments throughout the main season.
- Implement high-level player development systems and advanced basketball strategies.
- Foster a positive, professional, and disciplined team culture.
- Communicate effectively with players, families, and academy leadership.
- Represent MUMBA Academy and/or MUMBA ELITE with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven coaching experience in elite, prep, or competitive youth basketball.
- Strong technical knowledge, basketball IQ, and player development expertise.
- Ability to motivate, teach, and mentor student-athletes of various skill levels.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) required.
- Available for evening practices (3-4x per week) and weekend games or additional practice time.
