Position Summary: Our employer partner, a growing pest control and wildlife management company based in the GTA, is seeking motivated, reliable, and career-driven individuals to join its team as Apprentice Pest Control & Wildlife Technicians. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in developing a long-term career in a stable, hands-on skilled trade.
No prior experience is required. Successful candidates will receive paid on-the-job training, mentorship, and support in obtaining required industry licensing and certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties for pest and wildlife activity
- Identify pest and wildlife entry points and recommend appropriate solutions
- Implement safe, humane trapping, removal, and exclusion methods
- Install preventative structural barriers, including netting and other exclusion systems
- Perform hands-on work in outdoor environments and on active job sites
- Work safely on ladders, roofs, in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas
- Follow company protocols, safety procedures, and industry best practices
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation as required
- Interact professionally with customers and provide exceptional service
- Travel to various service locations throughout Toronto and surrounding regions
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid full G driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Must possess a valid Working at Heights Certification or be prepared to obtain one immediately upon hire
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable working at heights, on roofs, ladders, and in attic or confined spaces
- Physically capable of performing demanding work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to punctuality, professionalism, and workplace safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
