About Us
Harumi Machinery Ltd. is a growing Canadian-owned forklift and warehouse-equipment company serving customers throughout GTA. We specialize in forklift sales, rentals, repairs, maintenance, parts, and field service.
We are hiring multiple technicians, ranging from apprentice and junior technicians to experienced service technicians.
Applicants with approximately 1 to 15 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Previous forklift experience is not required. However, strong electrical and electronic knowledge is mandatory.

Responsibilities
· Diagnose and repair electric, propane, diesel, and gasoline forklifts
· Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
· Diagnose wiring, sensors, switches, relays, solenoids, motors, controllers, and fault codes
· Test electrical circuits using a multimeter and other diagnostic equipment
· Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
· Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and leaks
· Perform mechanical repairs involving brakes, steering, drive units, transmissions, masts, chains, bearings, and wheels
· Service reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, order pickers, walkie pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment
· Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
· Identify required parts and provide clear repair recommendations
· Complete service reports accurately
· Perform repairs at our workshop and customer locations
· Maintain tools, service vehicles, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
Qualifications
· Approximately 1 to 15 years of relevant technical experience
· Strong electrical and electronic knowledge is required
· Ability to use a multimeter and electrical diagnostic equipment
· Ability to understand electrical circuits and wiring diagrams
· Experience diagnosing sensors, switches, wiring, motors, controllers, or electronic systems
· Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair ability
· Willingness to learn hydraulic and forklift systems
· Ability to diagnose problems instead of only replacing parts
· Reliable, punctual, responsible, and willing to learn
· Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy parts
· Good English communication skills
· Valid Ontario driver’s licence is preferred
· Own basic hand tools are preferred
Relevant Experience
Previous forklift experience is an asset but is not required.
Applicants may come from backgrounds such as:
· Automotive electrical repair
· Industrial equipment repair
· Heavy-equipment repair
· Truck or automotive mechanics
· Electromechanical systems
· Industrial maintenance
· Automation and controls
· Electric motors and controllers
· Battery and charger repair
· Appliance or machinery repair
Training on forklift systems and equipment may be provided to applicants who have strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
Apprentice and Junior Applicants
Apprentice and junior applicants should have at least one year of technical, electrical, electronic, mechanical, automotive, or industrial experience.
Applicants must have:
· Basic electrical and electronic knowledge
· Experience using a multimeter
· Basic understanding of wiring and electrical circuits
· Good hands-on ability
· A willingness to learn forklift, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Experienced Technician Applicants
Experienced technicians should be able to independently diagnose some or all of the following:
· Electrical wiring faults
· Sensors, switches, relays, and solenoids
· Electric motors and controllers
· Electronic control systems
· Fault codes and communication problems
· Industrial batteries and chargers
· Hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and leaks
· Mechanical, steering, braking, and drive-system problems
Compensation
The salary range is $20–$35 per hour or to be discussed for experience technicians.
Starting pay will depend on:
· Years of relevant experience
· Electrical and electronic diagnostic ability
· Ability to use testing equipment
· Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
· Ability to work independently
· Certifications and licences
· Previous field-service experience
· Overall technical and problem-solving ability
