Job Summary

Join our dynamic youth sports program as a Children Flag Football Coach, where your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire young athletes to develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game! In this paid position, you will create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children to learn the fundamentals of flag football while fostering sportsmanship and confidence. Your role is vital in shaping positive experiences that encourage physical activity, social interaction, and personal growth among young participants.

Duties

Lead and organize flag football practices and games for children of various skill levels, ensuring activities are fun and inclusive.
Teach fundamental football techniques, rules of the game, and safety protocols to young players.
Foster a positive team environment by promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among participants.
Monitor children during activities to ensure safety and address any behavioral or safety concerns promptly.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about schedules, progress, and any important updates.
Assist in setting up equipment, field arrangements, and maintaining a clean and organized playing area.
Encourage skill development through age-appropriate coaching methods that motivate children to improve their abilities.

Skills

Strong background in teaching or coaching youth sports with a passion for working with children.
Knowledge of flag football rules, techniques, and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills to engage children effectively and collaborate with parents and team staff.
Ability to demonstrate basic swimming skills is a plus for safety awareness around water-related activities or facilities.
Energetic attitude with the ability to motivate young athletes and create an enjoyable learning environment.
Patience, adaptability, and a positive approach to managing diverse group dynamics.
