Valen Homecare Ltd. is a fast-growing homecare and staffing service provider delivering high-quality, client-centred care across New Brunswick and Ontario. We are expanding our services to support WorkSafeNB return-to-work programs, helping injured workers safely return to employment.
Role Overview
We are seeking Occupational Therapists to provide Return-to-Work (RTW), Job Site Analysis, and Ergonomic services for WorkSafeNB referrals.
This is a flexible, caseload-based role where you manage your own schedule while meeting service timelines and delivering outcomes.
- Full administrative support is provided
- Structured training is included through WorkSafeNB
Training & Support
- Initial onboarding and training provided by a WorkSafeNB representative
- Ongoing guidance and support from Valen clinical and admin team
- Dedicated administrative assistant to help with:
- Report preparation
- Documentation formatting
- Submission coordination
You focus on clinical work—we support the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Job Site Analyses (JSA)
- Ergonomic Assessments
- Return-to-Work Evaluations
- Develop RTW plans within required timelines (24 hours)
- Perform worksite visits and virtual assessments
- Collaborate with:
- Employers
- WorkSafeNB Case Managers
- Healthcare providers
- Monitor client progress and adjust RTW plans
- Review and finalize reports prepared with admin support
Work Structure
- Flexible, contractor-based role
- Caseload-driven (not fixed shifts)
- Weekly availability submission required
- Combination of:
- In-person visits
- Worksite assessments
- Virtual care
Travel Requirement (Important)
Candidates must be willing to travel within assigned catchment areas, including:
- Fredericton
- Saint John
- Bathurst
- Miramichi
Work will include on-site workplace visits as part of assessments and RTW programs.
Performance Expectations
- Timely client service (within WorkSafeNB timelines)
- 90% on-time report submission
- Strong return-to-work outcomes
- Clear, proactive communication with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist (eligible for ANBROT registration)
- Open to:
- Experienced OTs
- New graduates
- Relocation candidates (within Canada)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual in French is a plus
Compensation
- Competitive hourly contract rate:
- New Grads: $62–$70/hour
- Mid-Level: $72–$80/hour
- Senior: $82–$88/hour
- Paid billable time (direct + indirect care)
