Role Overview
· International Conference Services (ICS) is seeking an Intermediate Motion Graphic Designer for an ongoing freelance collaboration. This role focuses on supporting video projects and has strong potential for long-term, recurring work as we build a successful working relationship.
· The Intermediate Motion Graphic Designer will primarily support the internal Senior Designer on video projects, helping to deliver high-quality motion graphics, animations, and creative assets across multiple conference projects. This role plays a key part in developing dynamic video content, branding animations, digital experiences, and event-related materials.
· The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong motion and static design fundamentals and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· This is a fully remote freelance position. The freelancer will be required to work within North American time zones (PST or EST) to communicate effectively with the team and meet project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the Senior Designer on various projects, including animation, video editing, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics
· Create video content for organic and paid promotions on social media and Google platforms
· Interpret project briefs and translate them into effective visual solutions across various formats and sizes
· Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards
· Maintain and apply brand standards across all materials
· Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Experience & Skills Required
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in motion design or a related field
· Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, composition, color grading, and stock material sourcing skills
· Strong understanding of animation principles, keyframing, and the ability to work from or contribute to storyboards
· Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and brand systems
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator
· Experience designing for social media (vertical content) and traditional landscape formats
· Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
· Working knowledge of Canva to create simple videos, animations, and captions using built-in functions
Skills Considered an Asset
· General understanding of the event and conference industry
· Proficiency with macOS
· Strong interest in AI and incorporating AI tools into daily workflow
You must also be familiar and have worked with the following tools:
· Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Willingness to learn new software systems as required.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
