Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, organized, efficient, and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging Team on a Full-Time basis. This position’s focus is performing ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients for a variety of conditions. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality in accordance with regulations. Clinical and interpersonal skills will be utilized daily. This role requires expertise in operating equipment, communicating results, and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures, verify pertinent medical history, and ensure compassionate support throughout their visit.
- Perform various ultrasound procedures including: general ultrasound, OB/GYN, fertility, abdominal, spall parts as per physician requests, ensuring high quality images and accurate and precise measurements.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to acquire and evaluate diagnostic images.
- Assess image quality and make real-time adjustments to optimize visualization of structures and pathology.
- Provide preliminary findings to the physician/radiologist while ensuring a high standard of diagnostic accuracy.
- Ensure all images meet technical and diagnostic requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the clinic’s imaging system and in accordance with regulatory and clinic guidelines.
- Adhere to all IPAC regulations.
- Bring forward maintenance needs, ensuring proper calibration and functionality of equipment.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, advancements in technology and techniques, and compliance guidelines.
- Adhere to infection control and workplace safety protocols.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards of care.
- Duties will vary from time to time to support the operational needs of the department and clinic.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound program.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS certifications preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating ultrasound machines and various imaging modalities (e.g., Doppler, 3D/4D imaging).
- Experience in vascular, MSK and breast are an asset.
- Registration with BORN Ontario for Nuchal Translucency exams an asset.
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System).
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and enthusiasm for being part of a functional team.
- Excellent knowledge and adherence to PHIPA and all legislation related to patient and medical records privacy and compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be adaptable and able to work on a variety of ultrasound equipment
Additional Information:
- This position operates in a clinical setting with frequent patient interactions of varying conditions including those with limited mobility.
- Hours of work are determined by the department with some variation in hours depending on operational and clinic needs.
- Start time between 7am and 9am and end time between 4pm and 6pm. Enjoy working Monday to Friday without evening shift or weekend commitments.
- Scheduled shifts could be at all Oshawa Clinic Group sites with Diagnostic Imaging services; all sites are considered to be your regular place of work.

- Position start date is expected to be July 2026
- Wage Rate: $39.00-$48.00 per hour, based on skills, abilities, and qualifications.
