Nud Fud Profile:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to get in on the ground floor of our start-up, who aligns with our mission of improving the way people eat.
We are based in downtown Toronto and already established in retail stores in Canada, and getting more established within the USA and soon Asia.
We are a healthy snack brand that is owned and operated by female nutritionists.
Our snacks are organic, vegan, raw, paleo, nut-free, grain-free, sugar-free and non-GMO, hitting almost every growing trend in the industry.
Position Summary:
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our production workforce. This position will involve producing, packaging Nud Fud products in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Key holder of the business, opening and/or closing if needed
- Responsible for all aspects of the operation and report to Operations Manager
- Ensure the completion of daily operations with the production team
- Delegate tasks to the team members and effectively motivate the team
- Follow production schedule closely and communicate any issues to the Production Manager, make adjustments to the production schedule as needed
- Monitor on-going workflow to ensure timeliness of all requests
- Inspect finished products to ensure accurate labeling and record keeping
- Manage daily records and paperwork in accordance with GMP, HACCP, SQF and Organic Certificate Audit
- Organization of the production area as well as warehouse
- Monitor inventory levels for ingredients and finished goods
- Ensure food quality and practice food safety at all times
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Type: Immediate, Full-time (available on weekends if needed)
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-2 years' experience in food manufacturing environment
- Production Supervisor/Supervisor: 1 year (preferred)
- Previous experience of related food, consumer packaged goods industry
- Proven strong leadership and interpersonal skill
- Strong mathematical skill for problem-solving
- Knowledge of HACCP and experience with working in a GFSI environment (e.g. SQF, BRC, etc) would be an asset
- Must be able to understand, write and speak English
- First Aid CPR/AED Level C and Food Handler Certificate (preferred)
- Able to lift 50lbs; physically capable of standing for many hours at a time
