Position Overview
Sunderland Co-operative Inc. is seeking a full-time Agronomy Sales Consultant to join our Agronomy Division Sales team. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships while delivering agronomic expertise and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive sales growth

Sell fertilizer, seed, crop protection products, and custom application services within an assigned territory

Provide consultative agronomic advice, including crop planning, scouting, and input recommendations

Support customers with integrated solutions including agronomy, logistics, and grain marketing insights

Identify customer needs and create value-driven solutions

Maintain accurate customer records and provide timely, professional service

Expand the customer base while improving sales margins

Represent Sunderland Co-op positively within the community

Utilize company systems, tools, and programs effectively
Essential Job Functions

Achieve sales targets and execute plans established with the Agronomy Sales Manager

Maintain accurate databases, records, and reporting
-
Assist in developing sales plans for fertilizer, seed, and crop protection products
-
Adhere to all company policies including safety, credit, asset management, and pricing
-
Support product delivery and assist with operations during peak seasons
-
Contribute to safe and efficient branch operations
-
Conduct on-farm visits and in-house sales activities
-
Scout crops and provide timely, accurate recommendations

Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members
-
Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Promote products and services through plot tours, field days, and customer events

Obtain and maintain required licenses, permits, and certifications

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
-
Strong knowledge of agronomy, fertilizer, crop protection products, and seed
-
Previous on-farm experience considered an asset

Sales experience in any capacity is an asset

CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation is considered an asset

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational and time management skills

Valid Class G driver’s license required
Working Conditions

Combination of indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to varying weather conditions

Regular travel and driving required

Occasional irregular or extended hours during peak agricultural seasons
