Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Handyman/Woman/Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of our manufacturing or commercial facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, along with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance activities and supervise junior staff when necessary. A background in manufacturing environments, familiarity with schematics, CMMS systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility infrastructure
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify issues and implement solutions
Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed for equipment or structural components
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for maintenance tasks
Utilize CMMS software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
Oversee facilities maintenance projects ensuring safety compliance and quality standards are met
Supervise or assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors during repair or installation activities
Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance or facilities environment is preferred
Strong electrical experience, including working with schematics and control systems
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, equipment repair, or fabrication
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial equipment maintenance
Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is a plus
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams effectively
Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and management
Leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior staff and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
