Full job description

We are seeking a practical, skilled, and safety-focused Maintenance Lead to oversee the daily maintenance operations of the hotel.

You will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical systems, building components, guestrooms, and public areas are functioning safely and efficiently. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Preventative & Daily Maintenance (50%)

Complete daily maintenance tasks, work orders, and routine room PMs.
Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
Oversee pool/spa operations (chemical testing and equipment checks).

Facility Safety & Compliance (40%)

Ensure compliance with fire codes, building codes, and IHG brand standards.
Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and maintenance records.
Respond quickly to emergencies, alarms, or safety concerns.

Leadership & Vendor Coordination (10%)

Coordinate and supervise outside vendors for repairs, inspections, and projects.
Provide support to Housekeeping and Front Office on maintenance needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of building maintenance or hotel engineering experience.
Skilled in basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to safety.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and respond to after-hours emergencies.
