Full job description

Overview
Our client located in Markham is looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with manufacturing processes, and familiarity with various tools and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision, safety, and continuous improvement.

Shifts: Morning/ Afternoon and Night (Monday to Saturday)
Pay: $18- $20/ hour
Location: Markham

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to ensure efficient production cycles
Perform routine inspections of molds and machinery to maintain quality standards
Adjust machine parameters using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for optimal performance
Conduct quality inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to verify product specifications
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles
Assist with assembly and packaging of finished products
Support warehouse activities such as material handling using forklift or other equipment when necessary
Document production data accurately for quality control and process improvement purposes

Experience

Prior experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
Mechanical knowledge related to CNC lathe, CNC machining, or general machining processes is advantageous
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic math skills for machine adjustments
Experience with quality inspection tools such as calipers and hand tools is desirable
Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality standards in a production environment is beneficial
Previous involvement in assembly, machining, or manufacturing roles will support success in this position

This role requires a dedicated individual with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that values continuous improvement and teamwork.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
