Full job description

Job Overview
We, at GLAE, are currently seeking for an architect or intern architect who is experienced in the production of Schematic Design, Design Development and Working Drawing sets using Revit and AutoCAD for a fast-growing and ambitious consultant firm that specializes in Residential and Mixed-use development in the GTA and surrounding areas. This is a fulltime permanent onsite position.

Job Description:

Create technical content and details to the industrial standard of excellence.
Create and produce, as part of a team, from Concept design, Schematic Designs, Design Development, to Construction Drawings.
Conduct Site visits and Preparation of Site Reports.
Be involved in the Contract Administration phase.
Coordinate among architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Collaborate to ensure delivery of projects meets the expectations, deadlines and budgetary constraints.
Deliver projects using Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

University Degree in Architecture.
5+ years of experience in preparation of Rezoning, SPA, Design Development, Working Drawings and Details, Bid Packages and Contract Administration.
3+ years of hands-on experience in Revit.
Experience with mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings.
Good knowledge of OBC.
Strong technical knowledge of building science, means and methods, including coordination among architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam.
Assets: CanBIM certification, sustainability, and SketchUp.
Language: Besides English, Mandarin is a strong asset
