Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop accounting skills within a professional environment, utilizing industry-standard accounting software. The Junior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
Reconcile bank statements and account balances to ensure consistency and accuracy
Support account analysis and prepare reports for management review
Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
Perform account reconciliation tasks to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Support budgeting activities by maintaining relevant financial data
Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience with bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Familiarity with payroll processing is a plus
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare basic reports
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Pay: $22.00-$32.22 per hour
