Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, restaurant operations, and leadership development within the food industry. The Junior Sous Chef will support kitchen operations, assist in food service, and contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. Ideal candidates will have a background in restaurant management, food handling, or related hospitality experience, along with strong leadership qualities.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure timely and quality service
Support supervising staff and managing daily kitchen operations
Help oversee food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Serve customers efficiently while maintaining excellent hospitality standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant management
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas
Support training new team members in food safety and service standards
Contribute to menu planning and presentation under supervision
Ensure compliance with health regulations and restaurant policies

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments
Supervising experience or team management skills preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
Knowledge of the food industry, hospitality practices, and restaurant operations
Demonstrated ability to serve guests with professionalism and courtesy
Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and mentorship
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food industry trends, and restaurant management principles
